Pace Law School Energy Project
Part of the Pace Law School's environmental law program, this project works at the nexus of environmental law, energy law, and economic policy. We use research, education and advocacy to promote sustainable energy as a means of reducing the global burden of pollution.

Treaties and Intergovernmental Organizations

Environmental Treaties and Resource Indicators (ENTRI)
Comprehensive online search service for finding information about environmental treaties and national resource indicators, including status data for environmental treaties, treaty text, and other related information.

Multilaterals Project
An ongoing effort to publish on the web the texts of international multilateral conventions and other instruments. The project was initiated to improve public access to environmental agreements, of which it has a wide variety, but today it also includes treaties in other areas as well.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
Established by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the IPCC is to assess, on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis, the scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant to understanding the scientific basis of risk of human-induced climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.

North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation
Addresses regional environmental concerns, helps prevent potential trade and environmental conflicts and promotes the effective enforcement of environmental law. Members include Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

United Nations Environment Programme
Provides an integrative and interactive mechanism through which a large number of separate efforts by intergovernmental, non-governmental, national and regional bodies in the service of the environment are reinforced and interrelated. UNEP was established as the environmental conscience of the United Nations system. Site contains information on conventions, protocols, climate change, biodiversity and more.

Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL)
A public interest, not-for-profit environmental law firm founded in 1989 to strengthen international and comparative environmental law and policy around the world.

Non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment.

EnviroLink Network
Non-profit organization that has been providing access to thousands of online environmental resources since 1991.

Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide
Network of public interest attorneys, scientists, and other advocates who exchange legal and scientific information.

Links to a wide range of environmental organizations.

Georgetown Environmental Law and Policy Institute (GELPI)
Mission of GELPI is to conduct research and education on legal and policy issues relating to protection of the environment and conservation of natural resources. Site includes academic papers on select topics.

Greenpeace International

International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD)
Includes commentary, publications, hosted networks, research tools, a gateway to online information, RSS feeds and mailing lists, and more on international trade and investment, economic policy, climate change, measurement and indicators, and natural resource management, as they relate to sustainable development.

Natural Resources Defense Council
NRDC uses law, science and the support of more than 1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.
