National Agricultural Law Center
Subject-based "Reading Rooms" on a wide variety of agricultural and food law topics contain an overview article that provides a thumbnail sketch of the history and development of that subject and a comprehensive list of current electronic resources to major statutes, regulations, case law, Federal Register Digest reports, Center-published research articles and bibliographies, government publications, Congressional publications, and numerous other research resources. There is also the National AgLaw Reporter, a regularly updated newsletter reporting Case Summaries, Federal Register Digests, and Judicial Officer Decisions of interest to the agricultural and food law communities, and a "Reference Desk" of AgLaw and General Ag Resources.

Department of Agriculture
Click on the Agencies and Offices button at the top to go to a particular subdivision of the USDA, including Research, Education, and Economics services, Office of Congressional Relations, National Appeals Division, and Departmental Administration, which includes the Offices of the Judicial Officer and the Administrative Law Judges. Or browse by subject beginning in the left column. After clicking on Laws and Regulations in the left column, look under Related Topics in the right column to find topics covered by the laws and regulations.

National Agricultural Library
Includes AGRICOLA, a bibliographic database of citations to agricultural literature created by the National Agricultural Library and its cooperators, Reference and Information Centers with collections of links on specialized agricultural topics, publications, databases, and AgNIC, a portal to quality agricultural information.

USDA Office of Administrative Law Judges Judicial
ALJs conduct rulemaking and adjudicatory hearings in proceedings subject to the Administrative Procedure Act. There are approximately 40 statutes administered by agencies within the Department of Agriculture that require APA hearings. Site includes Administrative Hearing Regulations, Hearing Clerk Manual on Acts Administered, and Judicial Decisions.

USDA Office of the Judicial Officer
The Judicial Officer is delegated authority by the Secretary of Agriculture to act as final deciding officer in USDA adjudicatory proceedings. Site includes annual reports and summaries of decisions.

Environmental Protection Agency: National Agriculture Compliance Assistance Center
Created by the EPA with the support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Center offers comprehensive, easy-to-understand information about compliance - commonsense, flexible approaches that are both environmentally protective and agriculturally sound. The Center also provides information on reducing pollution and making good use of the latest pollution prevention technologies. On most topics, the Center offers publications that you can either read online, download, or order by fax or mail.

Farmers' Legal Action Group, Inc. (FLAG)
Nonprofit law center dedicated to providing legal services to family farmers and their rural communities in order to help keep family farmers on the land.

Farmland Information Center
A partnership between the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and American Farmland Trust, FIC is a clearinghouse for information about farmland protection and stewardship.

Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy
IATP works to keep family farmers on the land, to ensure the safety of our food supply, and to preserve biodiversity and the environment for future generations.
