Lois Wood

Executive Director, Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation, Inc., 2004 – 2017.  Managing Attorney of Land of Lincoln’s East St. Louis office 1978 – 2003 and Staff Attorney, 1974-1978.   Harvard Law School, J.D. cum laude, 1974. President Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, 1973-74.

Before becoming Executive Director, she represented low-income clients with housing and consumer issues in state and federal individual cases and class actions and collaborated with community groups on community and civil rights issues.  She also represented financially distressed farmers as part of the Illinois Family Farm Law Project and served as President of the Board of the Farmers’ Legal Action Group, based in St. Paul, Minnesota, from 2005 – 2013.

The Honorable Jessica Arong O'Brien

Judge Jessica Arong O’Brien, the first Filipina Judge elected to the Circuit Court of Cook County. Judge O’Brien has distinguished herself as a leader in the profession and the community, having served as the first Asian American president of the Illinois Women’s Bar Association and as president of the Filipino American Bar Association. Her numerous volunteer efforts have been recognized by many organizations. Currently, Judge O’Brien serves in the non-jury, Civil Division of the First Municipal District of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
