Student Organizations
Law school is competitive, but classmates don't have to be adversaries and faculty don't have to be indifferent to students. As one of the smallest public ABA accredited law schools, our size gives every student a chance to make the most of his or her studies. At SIU, students become closely acquainted with instructors and interact constructively with classmates. That's important, because we think education should be personally rewarding as well as intellectually challenging.
The School of Law community offers a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Some organizations are social, some focus on community service, some work within the boundaries of the legal profession, and still others are academic in nature. Whatever sort of activity students need or want outside of class, chances are good that SIU has a group already doing it.
