Divorce
The divorce class teaches students how to overcome the major obstacles people encounter when they represent themselves including what students can expect when they appear in court.
Each student who participates in the in-person class will receive the forms and instructions necessary for them to do a simple divorce. The forms that will be used are the same self help forms found in the Self Help Legal Center and on our web site. While students can ask questions about the forms and the procedure for filing a divorce and representing themselves at a hearing, no individual legal advice is given at the class. While the instructors are licensed attorneys, they are prohibited from reviewing forms or from helping students fill out forms.
The in-person class is taught in a 2 part format. Attendance at both classes is strongly recommended.
An on-line class is also available.
