Heidi E. Ramos, Project Director
Heidi E. Ramos is a graduate of Southern Illinois University both for her undergraduate and graduate degree. She received her B.A. in Political Science in 1985 and her J.D. in 1988. Heidi comes to the Law School with an extensive trial history, spending almost 16 years as an Assistant Public Defender in Jackson County. Her case load included misdemeanor, felony, juvenile, and post conviction cases.
Heidi now serves the Law School, its students, and the public, by working as a staff attorney helping with the Civil Practice Clinic and as Project Coordinator of the Self Help Clinic.

Gino Betts
Gino completed his undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University with a B.A. in Journalism and minor in English. He
will graduate from SIU School of Law in May 2009.

Sara Raheb
Sara graduated cum laude from University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts with a B.S. in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences in 2005. She will complete her studies at the SIU School of Law in May 2009.

Tom Furby
Tom operates as something of a technological guru for the Self Help Legal Center, maintaining the website and making computer-intensive operations such as the online divorce class possible.
