US Supreme Court Swearing In Ceremony

Dean Cynthia Fountaine invites you to participate in a SIU School of Law admission ceremony 

Dean Fountaine will move your admission to the Supreme Court of the United States in a special ceremony at the Supreme Court on Monday, January 27, 2014.

To celebrate this occasion, a reception in your honor will be held in one of the gallery rooms of the Supreme Court.

You will be responsible for making your own travel arrangements to Washington, D.C., and you may bring one guest into the Courtroom to observe the ceremony.

Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to participate in this event, please contact Elizabeth O’Neil at 618/453-4811 or eoneil@siu.edu.

To reserve your place, the following must be received by December 6, 2013, in the School of Law alumni office:

• Completed application (download at www.supremecourtus.gov). We have sponsors for you, or you may obtain your own.

• $200 admission fee, payable to the SIU School of Law. This is a fee charged by the Supreme Court of the United States. Your check will not be processed until January 2014.

• Certificate of good standing from the Bar of the state in which you have been admitted to practice for at least three years.
