African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights and
African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights
Established by the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, adopted in 1981 by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the ACHPR is charged with ensuring the promotion and protection of human and peoples' rights and the interpretation of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.
Court of Justice of the European Communities (ECJ) and Court of First Instance (CFI)
It is the responsibility of the Court of Justice to ensure that the law is observed in the interpretation and applications of the Treaties establishing the European Communities and of the provisions laid down by the competent Community institutions. The Court of First Instance of the European Communities is an independent court attached to the Court of Justice.
European Commissioner for Human Rights
The Commissioner focuses his activity on promoting education in and awareness of human rights, encouraging establishment of national human rights structures where they do not exist and facilitating their activities where they do exist, identifying short-comings in the law and practice with regards to human rights, and promoting effective respect for and full enjoyment of human rights in all member States of the Council of Europe.
European Court of Human Rights
The HUDOC Database contains full text of all judgements of the Court, decisions and reports of the Commission, and resolutions of the Council of Ministers from 1959. Each document contains information on relevant national legislation, other case law, treaty article(s), etc. The site also has the European Convention on Human Rights, Rules of Court, and information on pending cases.
Inter-American Commission on Human Rights
Autonomous organ of the Organization of American States (OAS), its mandate is found in the OAS Charter and the American Convention on Human Rights. Site includes treaties and other basic documents, reports, and cases.
Inter-American Court of Human Rights
Established by the American Convention of Human Rights, of the Organization of American States, to ensure, along with the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights, compliance with the Convention. Site includes Advisory Opinions, Decisions and Judgments, Provisional Measures, and links to International Courts and Related Institutions.
International Court of Justice (ICJ)
Principal judicial organ of the United Nations. Includes the Statute of the Court and other Basic Documents; Reports to the General Assembly, and documents and information related to selected cases before the court since 1947. For contentious cases, the documents include Application, Written Pleadings, Oral Pleadings, Orders, and Judgment(s).
International Criminal Court
The International Criminal Court is an independent international organisation. In accordance with article 2 of the Rome Statute, its relationship with the United Nations system is governed by an agreement that has been approved by the Assembly of States Parties and will be concluded by the President of the Court on its behalf.

International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea

Project on International Courts and Tribunals
