Summer Access to Westlaw and Lexis

Rising 2L & 3L Law Student CALR 2006 summer access:

LexisNexis:

All law school students will automatically have their current law school LexisNexis IDs extended for the summer. Remember that law school LexisNexis IDs must still be used "FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY".

Westlaw:

Law Students have the option of extending full access to Westlaw over the summer if they meet one or more of the following criteria (see websites for specific restrictions):

• enrolled in summer law school
• on law journal or moot court
• working as a research assistant for a law faculty member
• performing unpaid non-profit public interest internship/externship or pro bono work required for graduation

For those continuing students not enrolled in summer law school (or qualifying under the categories above for full Westlaw access): full access Westlaw passwords expire May 31, 2006, and will resume August 1, 2006.

Graduating 3L's will have:

Graduating 3L's will automatically have their current law school LexisNexis IDs extended until September 1, 2006. Remember that law school LexisNexis IDs must still be used "FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY".

Westlaw:

Free Graduate Password access to Westlaw for 10 total hours (Graduate Password Access will expire July 31, 2006).

Access to job search databases for one full year of access after graduation via "current" law school Westlaw password.
