COMPETITION INFORMATION

PRIZES: $1,000 First Place, $750 Second Place, $500 each to Third Place, Best Brief and Best Overall Oralist, $250 each to Runner-up Best Brief and Best Preliminary Round Oralist. The American College of Legal Medicine and Center for Health Law and Policy contribute these prize funds.

DATE: November 7-8, 2008

LOCATION: Southern Illinois University School of Law, 1150 Douglas Drive, Carbondale, Illinois 62901

REGISTRATION: The Entry Form is due by June 30, 2008.

FEES: The entry fee of $350 per team or $600 for two teams is due by September 8, 2008. If the fee is not received by that date, your registration will be cancelled. Please make check or money order payable to the SIU Foundation. Payments may also be made at the Online Payment Link. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

TEAMS: Each school may enter one or two teams (of two or three members), but the total number of teams that will be able to enter the Competition will be limited. If more than 32 teams register, one team from each school will be guaranteed a slot and the remaining slots will be filled by a lottery of the other registered teams.

RULES/PROBLEM INFORMATION: The Record and the Rules will be available and posted on the Competition website (www.law.siu.edu/) on August 11. Briefs are due October 3. The Competition will be held November 7-8, 2008.
