One of the best parts of my job is traveling around to visit with our alumni. In the last couple of weeks, I've had the pleasure of visiting with alumni and friends of SIU Law in St. Louis, Chicago, and Indianapolis. I enjoy hearing about the wonderful work our alumni are doing.
Everywhere I go, I hear the same question: how is SIU Law responding to the crisis in legal education? I am very proud to answer that question by recounting all the things SIU Law has going for it: reasonable tuition, excellent faculty who value practical as well as theoretical legal education, students who are hard working and exceptionally talented, and alumni who are devoted to continuing the legacy of excellence that has been created over the last 40 years at SIU Law. We are enhancing our emphasis and curricular offerings in important growth areas where we already have great strengths, such as Health Law, Intellectual Property Law, and others. I am also delighted that SIU Law has been recognized as a Best Value Law School by National Jurist magazine. I believe that all of these things position us well to meet the challenges of the future.
I look forward to visiting with alumni in Springfield, St. Louis, and Chicago in December.
