More information about Thomson Reuters and its financial performance can be found on www.ThomsonReuters.comhttp://www.thomsonreuters.com/ PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: The primary objective of this position is to provide legal interpretation to support the development and updating of print and electronic publications used in BAR/BRI Bar Review and as law school study guides. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: (approximate percentages) 75 percent - Editorial Functions * Performs legal analysis, writing, and research to support the development of print and electronic publications. Evaluates and develops manuscripts, creates practice questions and model answers and condensed outlines. * Reviews state bar exam questions. * Consults/negotiates with authors and primary contacts regarding content, style, and format of material, as required by publishing center. 15 percent - Quality Control and Verification * Verifies own work and that of outside authors for accuracy and completeness. * Responsible for legal text integrity and integration of new text. * Assigns and monitors research projects for outside attorneys. 10 percent - Development of Individual and Team Skills * Attends and participates in team meetings. * Prioritizes own work.

Required Qualifications:
 Education: * J.D. Degree required. * English or Journalism undergraduate degree preferred. Experience: * Admittance into state bar preferred. * Law review or journal writing experience preferred. Knowledge and Skills: * Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills * Solid editorial judgment * Keen attention to detail. * Basic proficiency in word processing applications. * Ability to successfully acquire knowledge of BAR/BRI products and contribute to their enhancement. * Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
