The Advanced Commitment Program is a highly selective program that allows lawyers to begin work as law clerks after graduation and before they pass the bar. The program is designed for third-year law students, LLM and JD/MBA graduates and judicial law clerks. Law clerks are hired to work in one Division/Office. Their title is switched to Attorney-Advisor upon being admitted to a state bar association. A Law Clerk is hired into one Division/Office and assigned duties for entry-level attorneys in the specific Division/Office to which they are assigned. This position is subject to a one year probationary period. This position is with the Chicago Regional Office (Enforcement).

 Key Requirements: US Citizen or Citizen of an Allied Nation of the U.S. Graduating from or have graduated from an accredited law school Have at least a 3.0 grade-point average, B average or equivalent. Meet educational requirements specified in announcement: Applicants must have completed at least one of the following between December 2009 and September 2010 to be eligible for this position : - Last year of law school - Last year of an LLM program or - Last year of their first judicial clerkship Security Clearance: Entrance on duty is contingent upon completion of a pre-employment security investigation.
