Duties:
  The Clinical Center Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, invites individuals with JD or other relevant graduate training to apply for its two-year postdoctoral fellowship program beginning in September 2010. Fellows will study and participate in mentored research related to the ethics of clinical medicine, health policy, human subject research, international research ethics, genetics and other bioethical fields of interest. For a typical fellow, this research yields multiple publications in premier academic journals. Fellows will also participate in bioethics seminars, case conferences, ethics consultations, IRB deliberations, a clinical research training course and multiple educational opportunities at the NIH. No bioethics experience required or expected. Further information: www.bioethics.nih.gov. Contact information: Location: Bethesda, MD (DC metro area) Who should apply: The fellowship position is meant for JDs, PhDs, MDs and others with advanced degrees expected no later than the summer of 2010 (people a number of years out from their degrees are fine, too).
