Our excellent value and LSAT scholarships

With a tuition rate that is one of the lowest in the country ($11,022 per year for in-state residents) you will graduate with a law school debt that is a third less than the national average. Most out-of-state residents can obtain in-state residency in one semester.

We award scholarships, equivalent to in-state tuition for an entire year, to admitted students based on their highest LSAT score.

Scholarships are guaranteed for the first year of law school and renewable for the second and third years if the student maintains a law school grade point average of 2.8. For more information about our LSAT scholarships, contact the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at lawadmit@siu.edu.

Through the generosity of alumni and friends of the School of Law, an extensive list of scholarships and awards are available for academic achievement, community service, and leadership. For a list of awards for current students, click here.
