Associate Professor Andrew Pardiek
Assistant Professor Andy Pardieck with former Japanese Supreme Court Justice Chiharu Saiguchi.
Professor Pardieck joined SIU in 2012 after working in Tokyo as General Counsel for Temple University, Japan Campus in Tokyo. While there he taught courses in Japanese Law and Comparative Corporate Law. He is currently doing research on the role of law in society in present-day Japan.
International Law Teaching
Professor Dervan presented on July 26, 2017 at Seijo University in Tokyo and July 28 at Ritsumeikan University in Osaka on plea bargaining and Associate Pardieck offered comments during panel discussions afterwards. A grant from the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership funded their travel and work there.
