LOCAL SEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT
NTT Visiting Assistant Professor

POSITION.  NTT Visiting Assistant Professor for the Southern Illinois University School of Law. This is a non-tenure track position in the School of Law for Lawyering Skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:  The NTT Visiting Assistant Professor for Lawyering Skills will provide small section instruction and practice in legal research, legal analysis, and legal writing to first year law students. The focus of the course is on objective legal writing and basic legal research sources. This course also introduces students to client interviewing skills and to relevant ethical principles that may arise when representing a client.

QUALIFICATIONS.

Required Qualifications:  A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a minimum of five years of legal practice or law teaching experience. 

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in teaching legal writing, a demonstrated interest in training young lawyers.

AVAILABLE:  August 16, 2013.

SALARY: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications
