Movies to Watch on Campus or Borrow
There are several low cost or free options for viewing films at SIU. The Student Programming Counsel presents a number of recent releases and/or student favorites each year at the Center Auditorium in Student Center, generally at an admission price of $2 per ticket for SIU students. Check out the schedule for the current academic year here. Morris Library also has an extensive collection of films that you can check out as an SIU student, which you can search here, and the Law Library has a collection of feature films available to you as well that each relate in some way to the law, legal practice, or the justice system. Law student organizations often sponsor "Law and the Movies" programs that include post-film discussions with faculty about legal issues raised in the films.

Student & Family Support Services
There is an extensive network of support services for students and their families here at SIU and in the surrounding community and it is important to be aware of that as a law student. It takes more than intelligence and hard work to succeed in law school. If you are not feeling well physically or emotionally, are experiencing relationship difficulties, are afraid for your personal safety or the safety of others you care about, or you need to arrange for child care or other services for your children if you are a parent as well as a student, it can make it more difficult for you to get all that you want to out of your law school experience.
